Both locally and across the country, employers say they cannot find workers with the skills they need. ETA offers a great opportunity for adults to acquire skills that employers want.
Saratoga, Warren, Washington Counties Workforce Development System
The ARCC Leadership Adirondack Scholarship is intended to help individuals 18 years or older to start or extend careers in skilled trades (see below for eligible programs). The scholarship will benefit individuals participating in the BOCES Employment Training for Adults (ETA) program by providing financial assistance to eligible students who wish to enroll in skilled trades classes. Eligible students must reside in the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce’s service area which includes Warren, Washington, Essex and Saratoga counties. Awards will be customized per module and capped at $1,000.
Criteria to apply:
* Must be 18 years or older
* Reside in BOCES service counties of: Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Essex
***Applications must be submitted prior to the start of class per term.***
See below for term dates:
November 11 - for classes starting between Dec 1 - Feb 28
February 8 - for classes starting between March 1 - May 31
May 11 - for classes starting between June 1 - Aug 31
Aug 11 - for classes starting between Sept 1 - Nov 30
